Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Josephina Otabor, also known as Phyna, has turned down a N13 million offer from Quidax, one of the sponsors of the reality show.

Phyna, who emerged as the Season 7 winner in 2022, has been vocal about incomplete prizes from the show’s organizers and sponsors, including Quidax.

Although Quidax had pledged to award Phyna 1 BTC as part of her winnings, they had yet to fulfill this promise two years after the show.

In response to Phyna’s recent complaints, Quidax met with her and offered N13 million, claiming it was the equivalent value of 1 BTC in 2022 when the pledge was made.

However, Phyna, in a video shared on her social media, declined the offer and insisted on receiving the 1 BTC, which she asserted is now valued at over N90 million.

Additionally, Phyna emphasized her demand for tickets for a trip to Maldives for two, which was also part of her prize package.

She stated, “I am standing firm on my Maldives trip for two. I expect to receive tickets for Maldives, not Kenya or Morocco as alternative options. I can cover my own expenses if I choose to visit Kenya or Morocco.

“Regarding Quidax’s offer of N13 million, supposedly reflecting the 2022 value of 1 BTC, I reminded them that in November 2022, 1 BTC was valued at N22 million. Despite their claim of N13.8 million, my Google search confirmed that 1 BTC was approximately N19 million in November 2022.

“If Quidax had provided me with 1 BTC in 2022, I would now possess approximately N96 million. So, offering me N13 million raises concerns about the losses I’ve incurred over the past two to three years.”
