Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was in attendance at the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja. Alongside him was former Vice President Namadi Sambo, along with serving and former governors of the party.

However, notable absence was observed as Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was not present at the event. The meeting proceeded without his presence.

The NEC meeting was a significant gathering for the PDP, providing a platform for key party members to discuss pertinent issues and strategize on the way forward. With Atiku’s presence, it underscored the importance of unity and collaboration within the party, especially as political dynamics continue to evolve.

While the reason for Wike’s absence was not immediately clear, his nonattendance did not halt the proceedings of the meeting. The discussions likely revolved around various party matters, including organizational strategies, political developments, and upcoming elections.

The absence of such a prominent figure as Wike could have implications for the internal dynamics of the PDP, potentially sparking speculations and discussions within political circles. However, the party remained focused on its agenda and objectives during the NEC gathering.
