Kano Court Confirms Ganduje’s APC Suspension

Kano State High Court has issued an exparte order affirming the suspension of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The court’s ruling, granted by Justice Usman Malam Na’abba on Tuesday, also prohibits Ganduje from representing himself as a member of the party.

The exparte order was issued following a motion filed by Haladu Gwanjo and Laminu Sani, represented by their counsel Ibrahim Sa’ad. Gwanjo and Sani, identified as executive members of the APC Ganduje ward, acted on behalf of the ward’s executive members. Notably, Gwanjo, serving as the party’s ward Legal Adviser, had previously announced Ganduje’s suspension.

The court’s directive explicitly instructs Ganduje to refrain from overseeing any activities of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC. This legal action underscores ongoing internal strife within the party’s ranks, with repercussions extending to its leadership at the national level.
