The All Progressives Congress executives in Dawakin Tofa Local Government and the Ganduje Ward Executive Committee members have refuted the alleged suspension of the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, from the ruling party.
Alhaji Ahmed Koko, the Chairman of APC Ganduje Ward, dismissed the purported suspension, attributing it to non-APC members in the ward. Addressing a press conference in Kano, Koko clarified that those who announced the suspension were sponsored by the NNPP state government and were not registered APC members at any level.
Koko emphasized that the purported suspension holds no validity and will not affect the national chairman. He further stated that the Ward and Local Government Executives have identified the individuals responsible and are preparing to take legal action against them for impersonation and attempting to tarnish the party’s image and that of the National Chairman.
He urged all party members to ignore the purported suspension and maintain calmness amidst the situation.
Halliru Gwanjo, claiming to be the party’s ward legal adviser, had announced Ganduje’s suspension while addressing the press in Kano earlier.
In response, the Kano APC chapter’s State Working Committee suspended ward party leaders involved in Ganduje’s suspension. However, the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area APC intervened, overturning the suspension and dismissing those responsible for attempting to suspend Ganduje. Chairman Inusa Dawanau highlighted that the individuals behind the suspension engaged in anti-party activities, with evidence of their meetings with the opposition surfacing.
