The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, has assured the public of the Command’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety and security during the upcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
CP Olufemi emphasized the need for proactive and effective policing during the festivities, urging all Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Police Officers to establish comprehensive security measures in their respective areas of responsibility.
He extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah in the state, highlighting the significance of Eid-el-Fitr as a time of collective happiness and blessings. He called for unity and harmony among all residents, regardless of differences.
The Commissioner urged the public to cooperate with the police and other security agencies and remain vigilant in safeguarding themselves and their communities. He advised citizens to take necessary precautions for personal protection, especially in public places like markets, worship centers, and highways.
