However, Garnacho’s strike in the 34th minute reduced the deficit for United before Bruno Fernandes leveled the score at 2-2 just before halftime. Garnacho then gave United the lead with his second goal in the 67th minute.
Conclusively, Palmer scored from the penalty spot in the 10th minute of added time, making it 3-3. He then completed his hat-trick just a minute later, securing Chelsea’s fourth goal. The defeat dealt a blow to United’s top-four aspirations, as they sit in sixth place with 48 points, trailing fourth-placed Aston Villa by 11 points. Chelsea, on the other hand, climbed to 10th position in the league table with 43 points. Meanwhile, Liverpool reclaimed the top spot after defeating Sheffield United 3-1 at Anfield.
