The upcoming Global Tech Africa (GTA) 2024 Conference is set to provide significant investment opportunities for African start-ups through its innovative Deal Room initiative. In collaboration with One Africa, the Deal Room aims to foster innovation, support emerging start-ups, and contribute to economic growth across the continent.
Scheduled to take place from July 24 to 26 at the Landmark Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, the GTA Conference will focus on the theme “Global Collaborations, Local Transformations.” This aligns with the objectives of the recently launched Nigeria Start-up Act, aiming to harness Africa’s vast tech potential for sustainable growth and development.
The conference will serve as a platform for collaboration between African and international tech stakeholders, facilitating dialogues, connections, and potential partnerships essential for the advancement of Africa’s tech ecosystem. It will engage stakeholders, run capacity development programs, facilitate policy formulation, and uncover investment opportunities vital for driving tech-driven advancements in Africa.
Dr. Inya Lawal, President of Ascend Studios Foundation and Implementing Partner of GTA, expressed anticipation for impactful discussions and initiatives at the conference, emphasizing its potential to catalyze local transformations within Africa’s tech scene.
Olori Boye-Ajayi of One Africa highlighted the partnership’s objective to foster innovation, support tech start-ups, and promote economic growth. The Deal Room, facilitated by One Africa, will provide a transparent and conducive environment for potential collaborations between tech companies and investors, aiming to drive impactful outcomes in the industry.
