Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon recently expressed his desire for a daughter while discussing fatherhood on the King of Talks podcast hosted by Teju Babyface. Okanlawon and his wife Damilola already have three sons, but he revealed that during his wife’s third pregnancy, he initially hoped for a girl.
Reflecting on the experience of raising three boys, Okanlawon admitted that while he would love to have a daughter, he recognizes the significant responsibility involved in raising a girl.
Despite his initial wish for a daughter, he acknowledged the joy and fulfillment of raising his sons, emphasizing the bond they share. When asked about the financial implications of having three children, Okanlawon highlighted the importance of financial stability in providing for one’s family, suggesting that with adequate resources, the number of children one has should not be a limiting factor.
