The Angolan Embassy has inaugurated a visa collection centre in Port Harcourt, affirming its commitment to fostering Nigeria’s economic potentials and bolstering business relations between the two nations.

Jose Zan, the Angolan ambassador to Nigeria, reiterated this pledge during the centre’s opening ceremony on Tuesday in Port Harcourt.

Zan highlighted the challenges faced by both Nigerian and Angolan communities in obtaining Angolan visas from Port Harcourt, underscoring the necessity of establishing the centre.

The initiative aims to streamline the visa application process, particularly for residents of the South-South and South-East regions.

Zan emphasized his focus on improving business engagement between Nigeria and Angola, citing the visa centre as a crucial step towards facilitating travel for both communities.

He emphasized the convenience of the centre, noting that it would enable faster visa processing, with applications often completed within 24 hours.

Mr. Ejindu, a representative of the embassy, emphasized the mutual benefits of strengthening economic ties between Angola and Nigeria, pointing out their shared natural resources, including crude oil, gold, and diamonds.
