The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has strongly rebuked Labour Party (LP) chieftain Mr. Valentine Ozigbo for his criticism of Governor Charles Soludo’s performance in Anambra State over the past two years.

Ozigbo, in a statement to journalists, expressed his dissatisfaction with Soludo’s tenure and announced his intention to contest the 2025 governorship election in Anambra as a replacement.

APGA responded by accusing Ozigbo of seeking an excuse to declare his gubernatorial ambition and gather donations for his campaign. Mr. Ejimofor Opara, the party’s Media and Publicity Secretary, condemned Ozigbo’s remarks as mischievous and lacking substance.

Opara questioned Ozigbo’s failure to offer alternative plans or solutions, focusing instead on criticizing Soludo without providing constructive feedback. He dismissed Ozigbo’s promise of a single four-year term as insincere and aimed at exploiting the electorate’s trust.

Regarding Ozigbo’s close association with Peter Obi, Opara urged him to forge his own path instead of relying on political alliances. He emphasized that Ozigbo’s criticism serves as a distraction from Soludo’s commendable efforts in governance.

In conclusion, APGA dismissed Ozigbo’s assertions and reaffirmed its support for Governor Soludo, emphasizing the need for constructive engagement and genuine commitment to progress in Anambra State.
