In a recent operation in Lagos state, police apprehended four individuals involved in the production of counterfeit alcoholic beverages in the Agege area.
According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, officers from the Isokoko police division conducted the arrest following intelligence regarding the illicit activities of the suspects.
During the raid, authorities seized fake drinks along with empty bottles and labels from various brands at the scene.
“Acting on credible information, officers of Isokoko Division raided a residence in Agege where counterfeit alcoholic beverages were being manufactured. Four individuals were apprehended, and evidence including counterfeit drinks, empty bottles, and assorted labels were confiscated,” stated SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing as law enforcement continues to crack down on illicit operations in the area.
