Nigerian musician Iyanya has revealed that he unknowingly supported his former Ghanaian girlfriend, actress Yvonne Nelson’s controversial memoir, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.’
In a section titled “Iyanya And My Love Life,” Nelson detailed her relationship with Iyanya and her discovery of his infidelity with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh.
During a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, Iyanya admitted to endorsing the book without being aware of its contents.
Despite previously promising to address Nelson’s accusations when the book was released, Iyanya stated that he is not prepared to respond to the allegations of infidelity from his ex-girlfriend.
He emphasized that he and Nelson remain on good terms and continue to communicate regularly.
Iyanya remarked, “I endorsed Yvonne Nelson’s book without knowing I was included. We were still friendly at the time, so I was unaware of my involvement. There was a lot of buzz when the book was released, with people informing me of my inclusion. However, I have yet to read it.
“While I had intended to address the allegations she made in her book, I’m not ready to respond at this time. I choose not to engage with such matters, as being in the public eye comes with its challenges.”
