Three individuals have been detained in Imo State on suspicion of committing acts of violence against a 12-year-old child, leading to the child contracting a sexually transmitted disease (STD) and experiencing acute vaginal infections. The suspects, identified as Joseph Onyema, 35, Uzoma Nwanoreze, 30, and Eberechukwu Nwosu, 43, were arrested following an inquiry by law enforcement authorities. According to Henry Okoye, the spokesperson for the command, the suspects are alleged to have subjected the minor to repeated incidents of sexual assault. The victim is currently receiving extensive medical care at a hospital, while the suspects await legal proceedings pending the conclusion of the investigation.
