Efforts Continue to Secure Release of Abducted Kaduna School Children – Governor Sani

Two weeks have passed since the abduction of 287 school children from LEA Primary School and Government Secondary School in Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, and the students are yet to return.

 

Gun-wielding bandits stormed the school during the morning assembly on Thursday, March 7, 2024, and abducted the innocent children, leaving parents and guardians anxious for their safe return.

 

President Bola Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, have reassured the public of efforts being made to secure the release of the kidnapped children.

 

Governor Sani held a meeting with traditional rulers and heads of security agencies in the state at the Government House to strategize on rescuing the abducted students and addressing the overall insecurity in the state.

 

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Governor Sani emphasized the importance of cooperation among stakeholders to tackle the security challenges. He also highlighted the need to identify and deal decisively with informants aiding the terrorists.

 

The governor expressed confidence in the ongoing efforts to secure the release of the abducted children and stabilize the security situation in Kaduna State, acknowledging the support and empathy shown by President Tinubu in the matter.
