Actress Susan Pwajok has shared a harrowing experience from her past, recalling how she and her cousins were forced into hiding after their family home in Jos, Plateau State, was set ablaze by Boko Haram insurgents. In the latest episode of her podcast, “Surviving Lagos,” Susan, alongside her mother Carol Pwajok, detailed the traumatic event.

Susan described the terrifying ordeal, stating, “I was in Jos when Boko Haram attacked our house. They set our house ablaze while we were inside. I was with my cousins, and my mother was in Lagos at the time.”

She recounted how she, her grandfather, and her two cousins had to crawl to the garden to seek refuge and watched helplessly as their home was consumed by flames. The insurgents not only destroyed their house but also set fire to her grandfather’s vehicles and all their belongings.

Reflecting on the devastation, Susan lamented, “They burned my grandfather’s Hilux, Benz, and all our properties. It’s unimaginable to see your entire life crumble before your eyes. That house held so many memories for me. We had to rebuild it from scratch.
