Wike Assures Foreigners of Safety and Accessibility in FCT

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, has affirmed that Abuja is safe and accessible for foreigners to conduct business, emphasizing the significant improvement in security within the city.

During a visit from the Ambassador of Poland to Nigeria, Mrs. Joanna Tarnawska, Wike assured that Abuja offers a conducive environment for all, including foreigners, to carry out their activities without fear.

Highlighting the cordial relationship between Nigeria and Poland, Wike expressed the FCT Administration’s readiness to collaborate with Poland in developing its agriculture sector. He emphasized the importance of empowering youth through employment opportunities in agriculture, aligning with the priorities of President Bola Tinubu’s Administration, which include job creation and security.

Wike suggested the possibility of Poland arranging for investors to establish large farms in Abuja, which would not only provide employment but also contribute to economic growth.

In her remarks, Ambassador Tarnawska, who has been serving in Nigeria for over five years, described Nigeria as an exciting place to live. She emphasized the visit’s purpose to reinforce the longstanding bilateral relationship between Nigeria and Poland and explore new avenues of cooperation for mutual benefits.

The discussions between Wike and Tarnawska underscored the importance of fostering international partnerships and leveraging opportunities for economic development and collaboration.
