Folorunsho Alakija, Nigeria’s richest woman, and her husband of over three decades, Modupe Alakija, have allegedly parted ways. The couple, who were once a prominent fixture in Nigeria’s social scene, no longer reside together in their matrimonial home located in the affluent Ikoyi neighborhood of Lagos.
Sources suggest that the couple’s separation stems from frequent disagreements and squabbles, prompting Folorunsho Alakija to seek increased privacy within her residence. Consequently, Modupe Alakija has reportedly relocated to alternative accommodation within the same Ikoyi vicinity, living separately from his wife.
While the couple has strived to maintain a united front publicly due to their esteemed status in society, reports indicate that their relationship has encountered challenges in recent years.
