Fire outbreak on Sunday razed the Kano Electricity Distribution Company, KEDCO power substation located in Dan’Agundi area of the State.
The substation is said to be a major supply route in the KEDCO franchise areas covering Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states.
With this development blackout looms as some areas might be thrown into darkness in the city. The Public Relations Officer of Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif confirmed the incident to newsmen but said he is yet to get details.
As at the time of filing in this report, cause of the fire outbreak could not be ascertain.
Recall that the substation was sometimes in 2020 engulfed by fire outbreak.
