Kogi State Governor Establishes New Ministry, Announces Appointments

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has unveiled plans to enhance progress and development in the state through the establishment of a new ministry, the Ministry of Innovation Science & Technology. The Commissioner designate for this newly created ministry is Dr. Adeniyi Helen Aderibigbe, with Mr. Atuluku Levi Victor appointed as the Commissioner designate for the Ministry of Transportation.

In addition, the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology has been renamed as the Ministry of Education. The Governor also made key appointments, with Aishat Oyiza Omede appointed as the Director-General of the Kogi State Social Investment Program Agency, and Afolabi Joseph Raji as Chairman of the Kogi State Scholarship Board.

Other notable appointments include Engr. Yunusa Aminu Alhassan as the Managing Director of the Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA), Barr. Moses Okezie Okafor as the Director-General of Research & Development, and Paul Peter Jibrin as the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Science, Technical Education and Teaching Service Commission (STETSCOM).

Governor Ododo congratulated the appointees and urged them to begin their duties promptly, focusing on making tangible contributions to the state’s development.
