The newly appointed Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap, has taken the initiative to suspend the assignments of officers to foreign postings. The decision involves the cancellation of the assignments of certain personnel who were recently sent to serve as immigration attaches in various Nigerian embassies across Europe, the United States, Asia, and African nations.
This move comes in the aftermath of the change in leadership, with the former CG, Caroline Wura-Ola, having authorized these assignments in January. Following the recent developments, affected personnel have been instructed to halt their plans to return to foreign postings and instead revert to their original duty locations.
