Motherwell FC, a Scottish Premiership club, has signed Nigerian forward Moses Ebiye as part of a planned move to strengthen their attacking squad. After leaving Norwegian club Aalesund in January, Ebiye has signed a contract with Motherwell until 2025, bringing a fresh element to the team’s offensive plan.
At 26 years old, Ebiye brings with him an impressive track record, having netted 19 goals in Norway’s top-flight league. Manager Stuart Kettlewell expressed the culmination of extensive efforts behind the scenes to secure Ebiye’s transfer, emphasizing the anticipation surrounding the striker’s potential impact on the team’s performance for the remainder of the season.
“This has been a long and arduous process,” Kettlewell remarked. “A lot of people behind the scenes at the club have had to work very hard but we’re very excited to see what Moses can do in his time at the club. His goalscoring record in Norway is very impressive and we feel that is something that will benefit us as we go into the remainder of the season.”
Ebiye, in turn, expressed his enthusiasm for this new chapter in his career, emphasizing his eagerness to contribute to Motherwell’s success. “I am very happy to have joined the club,” he remarked. “It has been good training and getting to know the team. I hope I can make an impact in my time here.”
