Health professionals under the Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (NUAHP) in Oyo state government-owned health facilities commenced a 7-day warning strike starting from March 4.
The strike involves various practitioners including laboratory scientists, physiotherapists, dental technologists, and others.
Their demands, presented in a ten-point agenda, include the implementation of hazard allowances, adjustment of salary tables, and revamping of health facilities.
NUAHP emphasized their members’ grievances and called for urgent government intervention.
The union warned of an indefinite strike if their demands are not met after the 7-day period.
