Residents in the Dei-Dei area of Bwari Local Area, Federal Capital Territory, carried out a second attack within a span of 24 hours, targeting a truck transporting food items. This incident follows closely on the heels of a raid on a warehouse belonging to the Department of Agriculture in Karimo – Gwa Gwa, Phase 3 Region of FCT, Abuja.

Reports indicate that the assault on the warehouse occurred on Sunday morning, with valuable goods being plundered. Similarly, on Monday morning, residents in Dei-Dei intercepted a truck laden with food supplies. The truck, en route from Zuba via Madalla Road, fell victim to the attack at the Dei-Dei junction.

According to a source in the area, the perpetrators, largely comprised of artisans familiar with unloading procedures, targeted the truck between the hours of 7 am and 10 am. The source revealed, “The truck, likely originating from the Northern part of the country, was intended to deliver its cargo to the warehouse that was previously attacked. However, due to the unrest, it had been parked along Madalla Road until receiving assurance of safety to proceed.”
