Sequel to the protest launched by residents of Gonin Gora in Kaduna State yesterday, Kingsley Ndubusi, has lamented the constant attacks by bandits in the area. This ugly development has necessitated the residents of Gonin Gora to call on governments at the national and subnational levels to either come to their aid or legalize guns for them to protect themselves.
“It is either they give us military base or they legalise guns. If Kaduna State cannot protect us, if the Nigerian government cannot protect us, we can protect ourselves,” Ndubisi remarked in an interview.
Recall that Abuja City Journal reported that, residents of Gonin-Gora in the troubled Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Thursday, barricaded the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway while protesting the abduction of an unspecified number of people in the area.
The residents stormed the highway protesting and urging the government to do something over the incessant attacks by bandits in the area.
