TVS Motor Company and Simba Group Introduce Nigeria’s First CNG-Powered Tricycle in Ogun

TVS Motor Company, in partnership with Simba Group, has launched the TVS King Deluxe CNG, Nigeria’s first compressed natural gas (CNG) tricycle, in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The collaboration between the Indian multinational motorcycle manufacturer and the automotive company signifies a commitment to eco-friendliness and addressing pollution while enabling consumers to reduce petrol expenses.

Mahindra Pratap, the business head of Simba Group, emphasized that the initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s plans to introduce CNG vehicles across various states, highlighting the vehicle’s role in fostering a sustainable and greener future.

Rahul Nayak, the vice president of international business at TVS Motor Company, stated that the TVS King Deluxe CNG demonstrates the company’s leadership in the Nigerian keke market through innovation and customer-centric offerings.

The launch event, attended by key stakeholders from the transportation industry in Abeokuta, showcased the TVS King Deluxe CNG’s features, including its fuel efficiency and pollution-reducing capabilities. The tricycle boasts redesigned features such as a bold bezel, a crystal-like tail lamp, and an enhanced steering column, setting a new standard for eco-friendly mobility in Nigeria.

The introduction of the TVS King Deluxe CNG marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s transportation sector, contributing to cleaner air, reduced petrol expenses, and a more sustainable future.
