32-year-old Samuel Shegun has been apprehended for the alleged killing of his biological mother. The State Commissioner of Police, CP AT Abdullahi, revealed in a press briefing that the lifeless body of 47-year-old Esther Adekanla, known as Hadiza Nakowa, was discovered in her house at Dutse town, Jigawa State.
Following a thorough investigation, detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department, Dutse, arrested the suspect near Awajil Filling Station Dutse in connection with the case. CP Abdullahi highlighted that the suspect’s arrest was facilitated through the tracking of the deceased’s phone number, establishing a connection to the crime.
