FCTA Unveils 15 High-Capacity Buses For ‘Secured’ Transportation System

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has introduced 15 high-capacity, Wi-Fi-equipped buses for residents to commute within Abuja.

These buses, part of a public-private partnership initiative, aim to provide secure and corruption-free transportation, utilizing digital payment solutions and live surveillance for passenger safety.

Mandate Secretary for Transportation, Uboku Nyah, emphasized the goal of seamless commuting in the city under the “Transport For All” (TFA) project. Yakubu Terry, Director of TFA, highlighted the project’s focus on leveraging technology to optimize routes, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall commuting experience.

He stressed the importance of digital payment solutions for financial transparency and trust among passengers, emphasizing the need to attract investors to the transport sector.
