A gun Battle that took place at Gaa Sulu community, Omupo District olin Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State, between hunters and a gang of suspected kidnappers, has claimed the life of one of the hunters.
The hunter lost his live in the aborted kidnap attempt on Friday night.
Reporters recalls that a gun battle ensued between local hunters and suspected kidnappers last Friday in which one of the kidnappers was gunned down and the three abducted victims, a man and two women, were rescued.
Five of the suspected kidnappers were also arrested by a joint team of police operatives and local hunters.
It was learnt by reporters on Monday that one of the hunters unfortunately lost his live in the battle against the kidnappers.
According to a source in the community “It was not known to us till this morning when his decomposed corpse was discovered at a nearby bush close to the area where there was an exchange of gunfire between the hunters and the kidnappers.”
