Film Anatomie, a startup specializing in leveraging 3D printing to manufacture filming equipment, emerged as the winner of the Innovate Nigeria start-up pitch competition. The competition aimed to recognize innovative solutions addressing challenges in Nigeria’s creative industry.
Film Anatomie secured the top position after competing against five other finalists selected from over 100 applications received. Chekker, a health-tech startup, and Riwe Technologies, an agric insuretech, clinched the second and third positions, respectively.
Sponsored by MTN and Open Innovation Access Ventures, the Innovate Nigeria bootcamp and start-up pitch competition sought to provide financial support to startups with innovative solutions to societal problems, enabling them to scale their operations.
Henry Ogbuagu, co-founder at Innovate Nigeria, emphasized the platform’s role in accelerating innovation and business transformation for corporates in Nigeria, fostering collaboration, venturing, and investment in startups. He highlighted the potential of the platform to unlock alternative sources of capital for Nigeria’s thriving startup ecosystem.
The competition took place during the ‘Accelerating Business Transformation in the Age of AI’ conference held in Lagos, bringing together industry leaders, local and global speakers, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers. The event featured keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions focused on leveraging AI for business transformation.
