Senate President, Akpabio, has disclosed that each state governor has been granted an additional N30 billion allocation to address the pressing challenges of food scarcity and hardships affecting Nigerians.
In his statement, Akpabio emphasized the importance of utilizing these funds effectively to ensure that food remains accessible and affordable across the nation. He urged state governments to prioritize the allocation towards initiatives that would enhance food security and alleviate the suffering of citizens.
The allocation, reportedly provided by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), supplements the regular allocation from the federation account and aims to empower states in their efforts to mitigate the impacts of food shortages and economic difficulties.
