The Niger State Government has summoned the class teacher and headmaster of Kassim Primary School in Agaie Local Government Area following a viral video showing a pupil using “vulgar language” during a debate.
In the video, the pupil, identified as Abdulkabir Abdulkadir, expressed concerns about Nigerian politics and criticized President Bola Tinubu, suggesting his presidency has caused hardship.
Hadiza Mohammed, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, condemned the pupil’s choice of words as “disturbing” and suggested he may have been coached to use violent language.
The ministry has invited the class teacher and headmaster for cautioning, emphasizing the need for students to refrain from using violent language, especially as the pupil is a minor.
