Mezovest, Nigeria’s foremost LPG and CNG distribution company, has joined forces with Elizade, a distinguished automobile dealer, to introduce an eco-friendly, cost-effective, and sustainable alternative to petrol through the establishment of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) daughter stations.
The Managing Director of Mezovest, Mr. Tosin Thompson, unveiled this strategic collaboration, citing the recent surge in petrol and diesel prices as a catalyst for the initiative.
Thompson emphasized, “Given the escalating costs of petrol and diesel, there is a growing demand for cleaner, more affordable fuel options. This surge in demand presents a favorable market opportunity for both companies to deliver value to millions of Nigerians seeking cost-effective energy alternatives.”
He underscored the role of recent Federal Government policies aimed at incentivizing alternative energy sources, which have accelerated the partnership with Elizade Motors. Thompson outlined Mezovest’s role in logistics, site selection, technology integration, and operational execution, complemented by Elizade’s provision of CNG-compatible vehicles, automotive support, and extensive marketing efforts through its robust network.
Echoing Thompson’s sentiments, Mr. Demola Ade-Ojo, CEO of Elizade Autoland, hailed the collaboration as timely and economically imperative, expressing confidence in its potential to deliver substantial benefits to customers and partners nationwide.
Ade-Ojo remarked, “Our partnership with Mezovest is poised to offer exceptional value, delivering significant cost savings to consumers and contributing to a healthier environment.”
Highlighting the economic implications, Ade-Ojo emphasized that the cost savings from the transition to CNG would bolster disposable income, thereby positively impacting Nigeria’s economy amid inflationary pressures fueled by high energy costs.
