Just weeks after protests erupted nationwide due to escalating food prices, another demonstration has erupted in Oyo State, South-West Nigeria, protesting the high cost of living, food inflation, and the prevailing economic challenges in the country.

Reportedly taking place in the Mokola area of Ibadan, the state capital, the protest witnessed youths carrying placards, passionately chanting songs to emphasize their concerns.

Among the placards were messages such as ‘End food hike and inflation,’ ‘The poor are starving,’ and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises,’ among others.
