Camp Officials has been warned by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) against unethical conduct and oversocialization with members of the scheme.
Hajiya Aisha Mohammed, who is the coordinator of the scheme in Katsina State, gave the charge while addressing the personnel preparatory to the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream I Orientation exercise on Thursday in Katsina.
The three-week orientation course was billed to hold between February 15 and March 6.
She said, the officials are expected to set an example for the young ones to emulate by being disciplined at all times during the exercise.
The personnel were tasked by Mohammed to put in their best and adhere strictly to the rules and regulations governing the conduct of the orientation course.
Mohammed stressed the need for the officials to accord a warm reception to the prospective corps members when they arrived at the camp.
She said the pre-camp meeting with all collaborating agencies was an avenue to critically preview the camp and map out strategies for a successful orientation exercise devoid of hitches.
The coordinator also urged the security personnel deployed for the exercise to work in synergy to forestall unpleasant circumstances.
“Working in synergy will make the corps members borrow a leaf from them and participate actively in all camp activities,” she said.
Mr. Allen Charles-Chisom, the camp director, sought the cooperation of the personnel to facilitate a hitch-free exercise.
Also speaking, the Camp Commandant, Capt. AS Musa, said teamwork was crucial to the successful conduct of the exercise.
He reiterated the commitments of the security agencies to secure the camp during the exercise.
