In the Gbagada area of Lagos State, the family of a 24-year-old man, Omoosumi Samuel, also known as Toby Woods, is grappling with distress as he has been reported missing. The young furniture maker, residing with his elder brother, disappeared last Wednesday, and his whereabouts have remained unknown since.
Efforts to contact Samuel have proven futile, as his phone has been switched off. Concerned family members and friends have turned to various social media platforms to raise awareness about his sudden disappearance, causing a wave of panic among his customers who patronized his furniture business, 360 furniture, both physically and online.
The elder brother, Pelumi, shared the last interactions they had. Samuel had mentioned he was heading to Mushin to purchase materials for his furniture work. However, upon Pelumi’s return home, Samuel was nowhere to be found. The family has been tirelessly searching for him, contacting friends and reporting the case to the police station at Ifako. The police assured them of initiating a radio and signal search across all police stations in Lagos.
Pelumi’s efforts extended to visiting hospitals and police stations in Mushin, where Samuel hinted he would be going before his disappearance. Unfortunately, these visits did not yield positive results, as the locations referred them to other places without any sign of Samuel.
The family is anxiously awaiting any leads or information that could help trace Samuel’s whereabouts. Meanwhile, customers and well-wishers have joined the online campaign, sharing posts and appealing for any information that could aid in finding the missing furniture maker.
The situation underscores the challenges faced by families when a loved one goes missing, as they navigate uncertainty and anxiety in their search for answers. The urgency of the matter has prompted collaboration between the family and law enforcement, highlighting the need for collective efforts to ensure the safe return of Omoosumi Samuel.
