A 20-year-old newlywed, Aisha Aliyu, is accused of fatally attacking her husband, Idris Ahmadu, in the Nasarawa community of Lapai local government area in Niger State.
Reports from witnesses indicate that a dispute led to Aisha stabbing him in the chest and slitting his throat.
Ahmadu’s mother discovered him injured, clutching his neck, before he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Aisha fled the scene before others arrived.
The Niger Police Command verified the incident and affirmed ongoing efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
