Katsina State in Nigeria witnessed a night of terror as armed bandits launched separate attacks, leaving Goda village and Daudawa neighborhood in devastation. The disturbing incidents unfolded on a Sunday night, with Goda village near the Kurfi Local Government border becoming the epicenter of a vicious assault by armed assailants.
The onslaught, as reported by DAILY POST, resulted in the tragic loss of a villager’s life, and several houses, including the residence of Sagir Goda, a vigilant community member, were set ablaze. A resident of Goda village described the night as a “nightmare,” recounting the harrowing experience of gunshots and houses engulfed in flames. The attack forced residents to flee for their lives, and the community now faces the grim reality of a neighbor lost and many families left homeless.
In another chilling episode within approximately four hours, a different group of bandits targeted the Daudawa neighborhood in Faskari Local Government Area. Alhaji Sale, a respected member of the community, bore the brunt of the assault as the criminals abducted him along with his two wives, identified as Amina and Rabi.
A local eyewitness shared the terrifying experience, stating, “We heard gunshots around 1:30 am.” Subsequently, it was discovered that Alhaji Sale’s house had been ransacked, and the assailants had taken him, his wives, and three of his cows. The community is left in fear as these attacks become distressingly frequent. Residents urgently appeal to the authorities for swift action to apprehend the criminals and restore peace to their communities.

The need for effective measures to curb such violence, protect innocent lives, and ensure the security of communities remains a pressing concern that requires immediate attention and comprehensive solutions.
