Nigeria Police Force operatives killed notorious bandit Isa Dei-Dei in Abuja during a raid on a bandit hideout in the suburb.
The operation, led by the Department of Force Intelligence of the Intelligence Response Team, resulted in Dei-Dei’s neutralization while other gang members escaped with gunshot injuries.
The public was urged to report individuals with gunshot wounds for investigation.
Abuja has seen a surge in kidnapping incidents this year, causing concern among residents.
Recent abductions include two teenage sisters in Kubwa and the rescue of a victim, Joshua Eze, by FCT Command operatives.
The Command also arrested a 20-year-old kidnap kingpin, Buhari Muhammad, and five others, recovering an AK-47 and N350,000.
