Niger state governor, Umaru Bago, has banned trucks from mass purchase of foods from local markets across the state till further notice sequel to the recent protest by youths over surge in prices of food commodities in the state.
The governor has therefore directed that any truck mopping up food from villages be confiscated and the food distributed to the public.
