The wife of the late Olukoro of Koro Ekiti, General Segun Aremu-Cole (retd), and two others, who were kidnapped following the monarch’s death, have been reported to have been freed. They were released late on Monday, as confirmed by Chief Samuel Ayobola, the Asiwaju of Koro.
The monarch was killed on February 1, 2024, and his wife, along with two others, were taken captive. The abductors initially demanded a N100 million ransom, which was later reduced to N40 million
