A tragic incident occurred in the riverain community of Kabeama in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, where a man, identified as Tony, reportedly beheaded his girlfriend, Maxuel Ebibraladei.
The incident took place around 3 am on a Saturday, and the severed head of the deceased was discovered by neighbours at dawn.
The couple had a child together, and the motive behind the gruesome act is still unknown.
Tony was apprehended by residents before he could escape and has been handed over to the police.
