Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has submitted the names of six commissioner nominees and three Special Advisers to the State House of Assembly for screening and subsequent confirmation.
The commissioner nominees are Mrs. Omowumi Isaac, Olukayode A. Ajulo, Razaq Obe, Emmanuel Igbasan, Akinwumi Sowore, and Oseni Oyeniyi. Among them, Ajulo, projected to be the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, is the only nominee who did not serve in the previous administration.
The three Special Adviser nominees are Olugbenga Omole (Special Adviser on Information and Strategy), Mrs. Olamide Falana (Special Adviser on Gender Affairs), and Alabi Johnson (Special Adviser on Energy).
Ajulo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), brings legal expertise to the list, while Omole, a former Chairman of the House Committee on Information during the 9th Ondo State House of Assembly, returns as Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
The nominations highlight a mix of experienced individuals from Aiyedatiwa’s administration and fresh faces, reflecting a balance of continuity and new perspectives. The State House of Assembly will conduct the necessary screenings and confirmations for the nominees.
