The Nigeria Wrestling Federation is gearing up for trials in preparation for the 2024 African Games in Accra, Ghana, and the Olympic Qualifiers in Egypt.
President Dr. Daniel Igali announced that the trials will determine the country’s representatives in the 22 Olympic weight categories, excluding Odunayo Adekuoroye, who has already qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Scheduled for February 3rd to 4th, 2024, at the Ultra Modern wrestling arena in Yenagoa, the trials aim to select top athletes for these prestigious events. Igali expressed optimism for a successful year, emphasizing the significance of the African Games and Olympic Qualifiers.
