The trial of former Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, and three others over an alleged N109 billion corruption charge at the Federal Capital Territory High Court has been adjourned to March 20.
This comes after the completion of the cross-examination of the first prosecution witness. During the proceedings, the witness acknowledged that Idris didn’t have legal representation when his statements were taken by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The trial judge admitted a video, recorded without the accused persons’ knowledge, as evidence. The EFCC is set to call its second witness in the next hearing.
