Troops of the Joint Task Force, North West Operation Hadarin Daji, operating in Katsina, successfully rescued 35 kidnapped victims and neutralized two terrorists during a coordinated clearance operation in the Dumburum forest.
The rescue operation on January 27, 2024, targeted identified terrorists’ camps, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists, while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
The rescued victims, comprising 19 males, 12 females, and four children, were promptly handed over to the Katsina State Government.
Brigadier General OA Fadairo, Commander 17 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 2 Operation Hadarin Daji, affirmed the commitment to continue the fight against bandits’ enclaves.
