In a demonstration of its commitment to creating opportunities and investing in people, ATCO Homes, a rapidly emerging real estate firm, collaborated with Rotary International District 9110 and prominent celebrities, including Odunlade Adekola, Ayo Makun (AY), Samuel Animashaun (Broda Shaggi), and Kofi Nuel (Kofi). The collaboration aimed to equip young individuals with leadership skills through the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) program held at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Lagos from January 6 to 14, 2024.

RYLA, an annual leadership development initiative, focuses on helping young people acquire new skills, build confidence, and enjoy a constructive learning experience. With ATCO Homes sponsoring the 2024 edition, the organizers had the resources to nurture future leaders, earning the real estate company an award for supporting philanthropic causes.

Speaking at the event, Kingsley Nwosu, General Manager of ATCO Homes, emphasized the comprehensive nature of leadership, stating, “Leadership encompasses all fields. In a competitive and ever-transforming global market, it is the responsibility of every society to identify, develop, and empower future leaders to strengthen its market position. This is a crucial task.”

Nwosu highlighted the role of the private sector in supporting government and community-based organizations in cultivating a new generation of leaders. He expressed ATCO Homes’ commitment to this mission as a business focused on helping individuals achieve their aspirations and building a robust investment buffer for the future through high-yielding real estate assets in strategic locations like Ajah, Lekki, and Ibeju-Lekki, currently tagged as ‘the new Lagos.’

During the event, Odunlade Adekola emphasized the values of humility and time management, encouraging the young audience with the message that hard work, respect, humility, and focus are crucial elements for reaching life goals.

AY, Broda Shaggi, and Kofi motivated the participants, reiterating the importance of humility, integrity, and determination in achieving success in any endeavor.

Tolu Onalaja, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the leadership program, expressed gratitude to ATCO Homes, Odunlade Adekola, other sponsors, and fellow Rotarians for their support. She urged the young participants to incorporate the lessons and skills acquired during the program into their future endeavors.
