The sacked Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Kunle Oluomo, has declared his impeachment unconstitutional, null, and void.

Oluomo, representing Ifo State Constituency 1, was impeached on Tuesday by 18 out of 26 lawmakers who accused him of gross misconduct.

Oluomo has vowed to contest the impeachment in court, stating that the process was flawed and lacked constitutionality.

The impeachment resolution accused him of financial misappropriation, including embezzlement of funds and causing conflicts between legislative and executive arms of government.
