The National Youth and Students Enterprise Group (NASEG) has recognized the Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management (RECTEM) for its commitment to developing entrepreneurship and providing a learning environment. During a visit to the college’s campus in Redemption City, Ogun State, it was presented with the National Outstanding Performance award.
Abdulkazeem Soetan, the National President of NASEG, presented the award, highlighting RECTEM’s exceptional contributions to the promotion of entrepreneurship in the country. The accolade underscores the college’s pivotal role in advancing entrepreneurial initiatives and cultivating a supportive ecosystem for budding entrepreneurs.
During the award ceremony, the Rector, Dr. Stella Mofunanya, accompanied by the Director of Entrepreneurship, Dr. Sunday Onjewu, and other members of the management team, graciously accepted the recognition on behalf of the institution.
Dr. Mofunanya proudly shared that RECTEM holds the distinction of being the first polytechnic in the nation to initiate all engineering programs. Notably, these programs have received full accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), underscoring the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.
Highlighting RECTEM’s comprehensive approach to entrepreneurship, Dr. Onjewu emphasized that the college operates a fully-equipped entrepreneurship center. This center plays a pivotal role in nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among students, aligning with the NBTE’s directive for institutions to integrate entrepreneurship education into their curricula.
In line with the national imperative to develop the youth in the fields of science, technology, and innovation, Dr. Onjewu further noted that RECTEM is steadfast in its dedication to training students not only to be proficient in their respective fields but also to instill in them the skills needed to innovate and become employers of labor upon graduation.
