Sanwo-Olu: Fourth Mainland Bridge Construction Starts March-April

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has announced that the construction of the much-anticipated 37km Fourth Mainland Bridge is scheduled to commence by the end of March or April. Speaking in Ikeja, the governor emphasized the extensive preparatory work done, expressing gratitude for reaching the final stages of the project.

Governor Sanwo-Olu explained, “Our commitment is that within this first quarter, meaning that by the end of March or April, we should break grounds to start the construction of the Fourth Mainland Bridge.” He outlined the construction plan, stating that it would be carried out in phases, with the first phase from Abraham Adesanya Junction to the Badore Waterfront.

Acknowledging the inconvenience caused by construction, the governor assured compensation for individuals and businesses affected along existing corridors. He also detailed the subsequent phases, extending from the Waterfront in Ado to Ibeshe in Ikorodu and further to Ita-Elewa junction, eventually connecting to the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
