The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has refuted claims of troop bias on the Plateau and warned against making malicious statements about the military, particularly from religious leaders.

Brig-Gen Tukur Gusau, the Acting Director of Defence Information, responded to a viral video featuring Rev. Timothy Daluk, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Mangu Chapter, who accused the military of overseeing killings in Plateau State. Gusau stated that the accusations lacked truth, were malicious, and had no reasonable foundation.

The military reiterated its commitment to neutrality, professionalism, and protecting citizens’ lives and property. The DHQ cautioned against spreading falsehoods and affirmed its determination to restore peace in the troubled areas.
